iOS 4.3 Allows You To Cancel An Install

Here’s a newly spotted feature in iOS 4.3 that I’m actually pretty excited about.  You can now cancel/delete the installation process of an application before it’s completed.  Often times I’ll be out and about and want to download an app or update one.  However, once I begin the process it either stalls out or is extremely slow usually because of a poor internet connection or the app in question ends up being larger in size than I thought.  As it stands now I’m forced to wait until either the app finishes installing or somehow quits and times out (this seems sort of random.)

To remove an app that’s in the process of being installed all you do is enter “wiggle” mode on the springboard (hold down one of the icons) and at that point you’ll notice a familiar X at the upper left corner of the app that’s being installed.  You can then simply tap the X to kill the install.
