AT&T E-mail Campaign Takes Shot At Verizon iPhone 4 Launch

Screen_shot_2011-02-01_at_6

By now you're probably aware of the one feature that the Verizon iPhone 4 can't do that the AT&T version can. The CDMA iPhone is unable to complete data tasks while talking on the phone. Where as the AT&T version can. What does that mean? Let's say your on the phone with your spouse and she/he asks you to check the time for the movie you plan to see that evening. With the GSM iPhone 4 you can do so without disconnecting your call. With the Verizon version you can't. It seems AT&T is trying to push that point just a little bit perhaps as a last ditch effort to stop customers from fleeing to Verizon. The image above came via an e-mail I just received. The subject of the e-mail is "Feel free to make a call while reading this email."

iOS 4.3 Allows You To Cancel An Install

Photo-feb-01-4-02-27-pm

Here’s a newly spotted feature in iOS 4.3 that I’m actually pretty excited about.  You can now cancel/delete the installation process of an application before it’s completed.  Often times I’ll be out and about and want to download an app or update one.  However, once I begin the process it either stalls out or is extremely slow usually because of a poor internet connection or the app in question ends up being larger in size than I thought.  As it stands now I’m forced to wait until either the app finishes installing or somehow quits and times out (this seems sort of random.)

To remove an app that’s in the process of being installed all you do is enter “wiggle” mode on the springboard (hold down one of the icons) and at that point you’ll notice a familiar X at the upper left corner of the app that’s being installed.  You can then simply tap the X to kill the install.

I Thought The Cold War Was Over?

Capamerica_spiderman_children_

I though the cold war was over? I guess I was wrong.

When Marvel Studios releases the highly anticipated Captain America movie titled "Captain America, First Avenger," this summer in Russia, South Korea and Ukraine, the movie won't bear Captain America in its name. Instead it'll simply be titled "The First Avenger" Seems after doing some market research the studio decided to make the change.

I guess "America" still ruffles some feathers.
